The Story Behind Mobi-Roll

Five years ago, I suffered a syndesmosis ligament tear and a Weber C fracture while jogging. The diagnosis: eight weeks of completely keeping weight off my left foot, with a maximum permitted load of just 5 kg. For me as an entrepreneur, this was a disaster. It quickly became clear that managing my daily life on crutches was almost impossible.

By chance, I came across a knee scooter from abroad. However, its poor quality and shortcomings in braking, stability and, above all, the combination of unsprung wheels and a lack of shock absorbers made it uncomfortable to use. Furthermore, these devices from China were not approved for use in Germany or the EU, and neither spare parts nor customer service or professional advice were available.

After two further injuries, I decided to develop the perfect knee scooter.

Mobi-Roll is ideal for patients with injuries below the knee. It is available for flexible and straightforward rental.

Since 2023, our Mobi-Roll has been registered as a medical device and can be prescribed by a doctor.

In response to numerous requests from customers with different types of injuries, we have also developed off-road versions with 12-inch pneumatic tyres, seated scooters for patients with knee injuries and mobility solutions for older people and anyone who experiences difficulty walking because they cannot place full weight on their feet.
